There are two Candid <> Healthie integration offerings. Please make sure to contact the Candid Support Team to understand which integration is the best fit for your workflows:
- Healthie v1: A CMS-1500 must be created manually in Healthie. After this, the user will click the "Send to Candid" button for each claim.
- Healthie v2: The claim generation process is driven by the signing and locking of a Healthie chart note. When a clinician signs and locks their Chart Note(s) in Healthie, a claim will be instantly and automatically generated in Candid as well as a corresponding CMS-1500 in Healthie. You can find the CMS-1500 on a patient’s page in the “Billing” section of Healthie. Once you sign and lock the note in Healthie, all changes will need to occur in Candid.

Healthie v1: You can create the CMS-1500 directly in Healthie.
Healthie v2: With the Healthie v2 integration, a CMS-1500 will automatically be created when you sign and lock the chart note. You will NOT need to manually create a CMS-1500.

If you are on Healthie v2, when you sign and lock the chart note, a claim will automatically generate in Candid. Please note that if you are on Healthie v1, this is not possible.
Candid Health leverages Availity as their primary clearinghouse. As part of getting set up with Candid, they will manage the enrollment process with Availity for you.
